WHB Engineers, a California-based engineering firm serving public and private clients across water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure, and development markets across the western US, today announced the appointment of Kevin Phelps, CPA (Inactive), as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Phelps brings more than 20 years of accounting, finance, and audit experience across engineering consulting, publicly traded and privately held oil and gas companies, manufacturing, agriculture/intellectual property, and national public accounting firms. Most recently, he served as Financial Controller at MKN, where he led finance and accounting operations, supported project accounting and reporting, spearheaded an ERP implementation to Deltek Vantagepoint, and worked closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, shareholder reporting, and long-term growth initiatives.

Kevin's financial expertise, operational discipline, and experience in the engineering consulting environment make him a strong addition to WHB Engineers. As communities across the west continue to invest in resilient water systems, wastewater infrastructure, utilities, and long-term capital improvements, WHB is focused on growing with purpose and discipline. As CFO, Mr. Phelps will oversee WHB Engineers' financial strategy, planning, reporting, accounting operations, and operational finance functions. He will work closely with the leadership team to support continued growth in water, wastewater, infrastructure, utilities, and related markets, while advancing investments in the firm's people, systems, and client service capabilities.
